Forever Young

Staying “FOREVER YOUNG” is perhaps the most secretive wish of each of us, and it does not matter if this subject bothers you on a daily basis or only occasionally when you look in the mirror and discover a new wrinkle here and there. Especially when it comes to physical discomforts and illness, the subject of aging or getting old is an unpleasant process.

Our aging process begins at age of 25 but the pace can be different. There are those who will give up on themselves in the first place, and already at the age of 30 will look older to their age, and there are those who are endearing in their appearance even at age of 70.

The main damage which causes that early aging is…. ourselves!

Of course there are plenty of other external and internal factors, but unfortunately the main damage we causing to our body and soul is on our responsibility.

Most of us live on autopilot,

giving a lot of importance to things that are not really important… Fly abroad for a vacation and come back home even more exhausted (as usually happens, that instead of taking some rest we are sucked into a crazy shopping or running around museums, castles etc. …), and all this

accompanied by monstrous and uncontrollable stress.

Especially those who live in the big cities, are constantly exposed to excessive noise, pollution, a lot of fast food and synthetic air produced by air conditioners.

Stress is like a vampire, drinking our youth and eventually we are losing control on our aging process and simply becoming old!

When I say “becoming old”, my intention is not for the responsible adult with a rich life experience, but a heavy, irritable and annoying person with a tired face and unappealing appearance.

Stress, insomnia and anxiety are a modern phenomenon that accompanies most of us in our daily live. All of these cause toxins to form in our bodies. These toxins accumulate in our body and as a result our immune system is also damaged and the risk of getting sick becomes significantly higher and eventually it will increase the aging process!

The removal of these toxins is necessary, and there are quite a few methods to do so.

As a person who strives to stay

“Forever Young”

or grow old wisely, I am looking for various methods to achieve this goal, and I will be happy to share with you everything I will adopt for myself. And most of all I would love if as many

forever young

of you as possible will adopt these methods into your daily routine!

And today I would like to share with you a detoxification process at the spa complex.

I developed this process by myself, combining spa devices, existing knowledge and some twist of mine. I examined this process on myself for over a few years, and the results are just amazing.

The spa routine is not developed in every culture, and here in Israel my neighbors on the bench are lovely grandmothers who look at me with a surprised and encouraging look. Unfortunately only when people retire and get old they give value to their quality of life and health.

Furthermore, you will not find any instructors for the spa devices (like there is in the gym) so there is no real understanding why and if it is helpful at all.

From my observation as a captive spa freak, a visit to the spa complex, usually ends up with a selfie in the hot tub before the massage, a peek for a second in the dry / wet sauna, and a glass of wine or champagne, while consuming alcohol spirits in the spa is like going for a run with a bottle of alcohol in a hand.

The process I developed for myself

is brief and to the point, burns a lot of calories (a great alternative to aerobic activity), thoroughly cleanses toxins and the results can be felt immediately from the first time.

The bonus is that this great feeling will stay with you surprisingly for several days!

All you have to do is find a Spa complex near you that has a dry sauna, a wet sauna, and a pool.

The whole process takes about 45 minutes, and it does not matter if you decide to do it in the morning or in the evening.

The process should be done on empty stomach or minimum of 4 hours after food intake.

You may initially need to have some rest between stops and your stay will be for short periods at each stop, which is fine, there is no use in suffering. If you adopt the method you will be able to increase the pace gradually, and you will feel the result anyway even if the stay is shorter than written.

So let’s jump into the water!

* Equip yourself with a bottle of water and start the process in a dry sauna. The ultimate stay in a dry sauna is about 15 minutes, but as I mentioned earlier, you can start with less, what is important is to see a layer of sweat on the skin, which is a sign that the body begins to cleanse itself of toxins through sweating.

Using the right essential oil, within the process will increase the result significantly! For example, if you want to relax and improve the quality of sleep, choose lavender or chamomile oil, and if you do the process in the morning and want to be fresher and more focused throughout the day, choose orange or geranium oil.

All the essential oils are antibacterial, antioxidant and once inhaled they wonderfully fight free radicals, boost the release of toxins from the body and their aroma affects the mind and mood.

Take a cup of paper or stock up in advance with a spray of water into which you have dripped a few drops of essential oil. You can gently spray on the hot stones in the oven or spray directly on the body (avoiding the eye area). It is possible both because it is so much fun!

After leaving the sauna, do a short (5-10 sec.) ice cold shower. Such a drastic change in temperature increases the heart rate (just like running) and boosts blood circulation. The blood fills with oxygen and releases the body from toxins. In addition this action improves metabolism and strengthens the immune system!

* You may want to rest a bit at this point, which is fine.

* The second step in this process is swimming. All of us know that swimming is a very healthy activity, but not all of us like or know how to swim. You do not have to be a professional swimmer because swimming in this process has a slightly different role. Staying in the water is very relaxing and balancing, and that’s what we want to achieve. In addition, when we swim we breathe differently, more deeply – which encourages the release of toxins. If you do not know how to swim, you can use a swimming board or even move in the water while walking.

The ultimate swimming time is about 20 minutes, and of course less is possible at first, swim as you know or like, maintain long and relaxed movements, the goal is to move the joints, breathe, balance the body and calm the mind.

 The third and final step

cleansing the lungs and cleansing the skin in a wet sauna, hammam or steam room.

Recommended stay time about 15 minutes. Especially in a wet sauna, blending essential oils with the steam gives a huge upgrade. You can drip a few drops directly on an opening from which the steam flow comes out. Inhalation of vapors combined with essential oils such as eucalyptus, mint or Ravensara, will effectively cleanse the lungs and kill bacteria in the airways.

You can mix essential oils according to your personal need.

The most fun thing about a wet sauna, is to polish your skin with a good natural peeling or scrub! The steam softens the skin and opens the pores so that it allows you to remove the dead cells easily and clean the pores thoroughly. And if you suffer from sagging skin or cellulite in certain areas, massage the area with an exfoliator or massage brush.

Finish the process with a cold shower, same way you done after dry sauna (5-10 sec. of ice-cold shower), it will give an extra energy boost and shrink back the pores.

Rub yourself with a towel all over the body to warm and pumper your refreshed skin with a massage!

Any face mask, serum or moisturizers you will apply after bathing will be easily absorbed and penetrate deeper. After such a treatment your skin will glow with freshness and purity!

This is the most effective and affordable detoxing and anti-aging  treatment to stay “forever young”!

A cup of green tea or a fruit smoothie would be just perfect after a visit to the spa.

Experience and see what amazing results it gives to your skin and body, you will feel deep relaxation, high concentration ability, improved sleep, lots of energy and a good mood!

Try to encourage spa visits for your daily routine, do this process at least once a week and see how your body and mind respond.

For me this process works like a magic wand, the skin looks wonderful, I breathe a sigh of relief and there is a noticeable change in the inner tension level.

If you suffer from chronic diseases, it is recommended that you consult your doctor beforehand.

Stay “Forever Young”.
